How to Create and Manage Objects in Nora IPLM

Creating objects in Nora IPLM is simple and flexible, allowing you to build new objects and establish relationships based on your needs. Whether you're adding new documents, tasks, or objects with specific relations, there are several ways to quickly create and organize them within the platform. This guide outlines the various methods for creating objects to suit your workflow and ensure smooth collaboration.

How to Create an Object

In Nora IPLM, you can create an object in four different ways:

1. Quick Create Feature

  1. Click the Quick Create button to open the panel.
  2. Select the type of object you want to create.
  3. Fill out the required information.
  4. Click the Create button to finalize.

2. Create Feature in the Top and Left Pane

  1. Click the Create button to open the object types menu.
  2. Select the object type you want to create.
  3. Fill in the required details in the form that opens in a new tab.
  4. Click Create to complete the process.

3. Quick Create Command in Widget Command Bars

  1. Click the Quick Create button on the widget command bar to open the panel.
  2. Choose the object type you wish to create.
  3. Complete the required fields.
  4. Click Create to add the object. If supported, the object will appear in the widget.

4. Quick Create with Relation

  1. Access this feature from the command bars of widgets or by right-clicking on an object.
  2. Select the object with which you want to build a relationship.
  3. From the command bar or right-click menu, click on Quick Create with Relation.
  4. In the Create New Object and Relation panel, either create a new object or search for an existing one to relate.
  5. Choose the type of relationship.
  6. Click Create to establish the relationship or Create and Continue to keep building new relations.
